We would like to share a story about a very special sampling project by one of our users. It all started when John Bunge reached out to us asking if SampleRobot could capture sounds from a unique instrument he built about 40 years ago. He called it 'The Box'.

Shortly after the release of SampleRobot 6.6 Pro we have good news for all other SampleRobot 6 users, too. SampleRobot Multi-X and SampleRobot Korg+Wave are now updated to version 6.6 as well.

SampleRobot is back with an update that includes support for the Waldorf synthesizers Quantum and Iridium both capable of loading custom sample content. SampleRobot 6.6 Pro can now create Waldorf ‘map’ files with dedicated samples making the sample handling on these instruments as easy as never before.

A new SampleRobot review was recently published by Soundbytes Magazine. We are very glad that author Rob Mitchell took a deep dive into the world of automatic sampling. He writes enthusiastically about the new features. "With this latest version Skylife has added new features to make SampleRobot Pro even more powerful and accessible to the new users"

In this cinematic sampling video composer and synthesist Venus Theory shows his workflow how to sample an fx-twisted analog synth with SampleRobot and turning it into a Decent Sampler instrument. The best thing is that he shares his collection called 'Isometra' on Pianobook for free. So check it out and make some music!

The Superbooth is again coming to Berlin as a real-life event on May, 12th till 14th, 2022. Like most electronic musicians we're pretty excited about it. We will release our SampleRobot 6.6 update at Superbooth 22 which will be of special interest for all Waldorf Quantum and Iridium users. Starting the new year 2022 we have something special for you: A fragile and expressive sound from the past that was introduced 40 years ago in 1982 by Vangelis in his score for Ridley Scott's Blade Runner.

We multisampled a living heavyweight Yamaha CS80 to bring you the original CS80 sound that is reminiscent of the opening credits from the legendary science fiction movie.

This month we have a very special gift for all sample enthusiasts. It's a sound pack created especially for the users of SampleRobot by the sampling specialists at LucidSamples. 

The pack contains Soundfont2 files from instruments like Roland TB303 and Clavia Nord Lead 3.

Also sample makers and instrument developers Resonance Sound and Lunacy Audio used SampleRobot for their creations.

It's very nice to see and hear that SampleRobot was used as a tool for creating wave-sequence-like sounds on a Korg Kronos / Nautilus.
Maik Schott produced this video giving an insight on how one can transfer analog sounds sampled from a Eurorack modular synthesizer system with the option to play the analog sequences synced to a clock in the digital engines from Korg.
