Quantum To Come

Quantum To Come

We are happy to announce that the next SampleRobot update will feature an additional sample export for the Waldorf synthesizers Quantum and Iridium. This allows for easy sample creation, transfer and management of high quality libraries.

Due to SampleRobot's automatic mapping capabilities you can also import standard Wave and Aiff files and export them fast in the Quantum/Iridium format for instant playability and as a source for advanced sound design on the instruments.

Wish I Had One - Award

It was nice to hear that author Jason Buchwald from musicplayers.com has reviewed SampleRobot Montage. With a total rating of 3.6 out of 4 stars SampleRobot Montage is outstanding in the author's opinion and received the WIHO - Wish I Had One Award.

"Bottom line: SampleRobot 6 for Montage is fantastic!"

Samples and exports

Samples and exports
Recently we started an inquiry about user sampling projects realized with the help of SampleRobot. Jan @jupiterbyjay captured the charme, richness and power of the original Roland Jupiter-8 and brought it to life within HALion and Kontakt. There is a free 2GB sample instrument to demo the full sample set. Check it out! Jan is pretty busy creating new samples and plans a release for Bitwig studio later this year.

The world's turned upside down

The world's turned upside down
Positive news was quite rare the last weeks, so we are surprised and very happy to hear that musician and long-time SampleRobot user Juergen Koehler produced a series of free sampling tutorials. How can one turn a hardware synthesizer into a software instrument and how to use it in Kontakt,  EXS24 or a Kronos?

Hope you had a great start in 2020. All the best wishes for a musical new year.

It is with pleasure to see this new video from long-time SampleRobot user Jürgen Moßgraber. In this video Jürgen focuses on the Bitwig export and also on the offline bouncing option when sampling plugins. Thanks very much for taking the time to show this to other people, appreciated!

SampleRobot 6.5 is here!

SampleRobot 6.5 is here!

Now the SampleRobot 6.5 Pro update is finally available from the SampleRobot website. This is a large update. We expanded on the export functionality and included 3 new multisample formats: Sequential Prophet-X, Bitwig Studio and Synthstrom deluge. With the new offline bouncing option the rendering of the samples in the included VST2 host is done with full processor speed. We want to give you the best sampling experience on the market.

Sampling proprietary plugins of your DAW

Sampling proprietary plugins of your DAW
Due to the included VST2 host SampleRobot Pro is capable of sampling all kinds of plugins directly without the help of additional virtual cables. But what if you would like to sample a software instrument that is only available for one special DAW and cannot be loaded as a standard VST plugin? SampleRobot can do this job as well.

Creating velocity-sensitive instruments

Creating velocity-sensitive instruments
SampleRobot is designed to capture instrumental sounds in fine detail. You can use it to create sample-based instruments with up to 128 levels of velocity. Even if you don't use up all the layers velocity-sensitivity adds liveliness to every sound. Here is how to do.
